• Yes all you need to do is call up your ISP (century link) and provide them with the MAC address sticker in the cable modem. They’ll be able to guide you if you get stuck.

• This is a Cable modem and is not compatible with DSL. You must have cable for this modem to work. I think Best Buy and other retailers sell DSL modems, though. I've had both and I think hands down cable modem is a better quality internet service. If you have cable service in your area you may want to think of switching. Good luck!
