2 - Yes, it will improve wireless. However, it will depend upon you home... size in sq ft, type and # walls between the mobile device and the router's location;
Is your home multi-story? If yes, you should consider wireless extenders for other level(s)
3 - this router is tuned for wireless and provides better performance vs. directly connected via CAT 5/6 devices - at least per Netgear's specificatons.
Always consider the number of devices you have using the bands and configure accordingly.
1. my streaming tvs are directly connected to router ethernet ports. This avoids loading the wireless channels
2. I use 1GB ethernet switches wherever multiple devices are located.... For example, a printer and ring security system both share a hardwire link.
3 Put "low" level IoT devices on one channel usually 2.4mhz.
