• Hi Gvtvant, thank you for your question. The ideal use case for the EAX15 is to be located in an area where it is still within the optimal range of the main Wi-Fi router for it to extend/broadcast the signal effectively. NETGEAR Team

• How far away is the building from your router? Is it a metal building? Do you currently get signal there from just your router?

• 200’ away from the router. It is not a metal building. I get a weak signal but it won’t sty connected to my phone or iPad.
