I don't know if it'll help you. It really depends how far away your computer is from the router. I used it in my bedroom which is 2 floors above my router.it has helped tremendously to increase the wifi signal up there.

Wait over 2hours for product support and sent message to delete passcode because NETGEAR said it was not my Passcode when it was and they denied me deleting account. So there’s one way to delete account. Return items and not use NETGEAR . Get TP-Link
