I ran both devices together for the past several years. Had minimal issues. As a habit, I would reboot both devices once every week. This would help clear out errors coming from Xfinity onto the modem. I did have a deadspot in my home using the RAXE500. I purchased the RAX80 extender to resolve the coverage issue. I recently purchased the RS700 Router to replace the RAXE500. The coverage is better and no longer need the RAX80 Extender.

In both cases, we lost connectivity and all the lights in the unit started flashing together. Fortunately we have the gear head subscription and they were replaced, but customer service in working with them is terrible.
