A:AnswerIf you have phone service through your cable company this will not work as it doesn't have that function. There are other models that do have it. Just look for the NetGear NightHawk models. You won't be disappointed.

And yes all flow through a vpn is encrypted

A:AnswerYes we haven't leased a modem in a few years. we just got this one . the one we had before this one, same brand which by the way is a great one. This new modem covers an area up to 2000 sq feet . Make sure you ask how much area your modem covers. It is a necessary question.we really like it. No issues
