QuestionI have Fiber hooked up in my apartment. We have an ethernet port on the wall that is activated. I noticed it is missing a WAN port to connect to that ethernet port. Does this router just connect via Coaxial or will it connect to the internet with RJ-45.

- Answer NO, I have Comcast Xfinity. TV is independent of your router and uses their own controls and remotes. You need a Cable router with a telephone jack (RJ-11) which this router lacks.

- Answer I don't think you would need an extender with this modem and router because it works really well! It works well even when I am way outside of the house. However, you might need an extender if your walls are center block or your home is very, very, large.
