A:AnswerI don't think you would need an extender with this modem and router because it works really well! It works well even when I am way outside of the house. However, you might need an extender if your walls are center block or your home is very, very, large.
A:AnswerIt is rated at 1900 mps download speed (which is more than a Gig). My download speed went from about 30mps to around 90mps. It could be more (and has been depending on time of day and who all is on the same band at one tims), but we don’t have a faster (or fastest) plan from our provider. I don’t think you’d go wrong with this unit!
