“Looking to change out cable modem that I got from internet provider for one that would perform better. I've read reviews on some Netgear ones and it doesn't look good, but wouldn't mind keeping my wifi system the same brand. What would be my best bet?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on how many devices you have and whether or not you have VOIP phone service. I have had consistently good performance with ARRIS SBV2404 and SBV3202 with phone/voice. If you don't need voice/phone the ARRIS SB6190 is a good choice. These are either 32x8 or 24x8, which is a lot of capacity. Netgear has the CM1150V and CM500V and they have worked well for me in the past. The former is 32x8 and the latter 16x4, both support voice. If you don't need voice/phone the Netgear CM1000 has been my goto.
