QuestionCan I use my Ooma phone serivce with this router?With my present ISP, Im using a modem and Ooma phone service. Is this router all I need to go wireless and will it accommodate my Ooma (VOIP) phone?. Also, once I hook up this router, do I need anything else to be able to use Roku (besides the Roku device itself)?

- Answer Yes, I am a VOIP user and it works flawlessly with my system No, I have a Roku, Amazon Fire Stick, Chrome Cast and a Blueray DVD player streaming thru my router. No issues....

- Answer Reset router by holding in reset button for 10 seconds. Wait for router and to reboot then try again.

QuestionI have a netgear WNR2000 that I have had for the past 5 years will it continue to work with comcast increased speeds?I keep getting letters from comcast telling me that my current digital internet and voice modem is no longer capable of supporting the speeds of my Xfinity service, we need to replace your existing device with a wireless gateway. My internet works fine now, does this mean the actual cable box or the netgear modem. I am confused. Will this eventually interfere with my internet and tv?

QuestionDoes it require modem or any additional device?I want to buy my own router/modem device for home wifi connection. I have a device from comcast which is quite efficient, i was wondering if buying this device itself is sufficient or i have to buy some other accessories too? second, if it is compatible with comcast?

- Answer We have a separate modem in addition to the router, but other than that you do not need additional accessories.

Questioncan I use the NetgearWNR2000 Router ? ,Have a windows XP with an internet provider also have a Windows laptop that is NOT hooked up to internet. I am computer illiterate. so do not know if I can use that router to get WIFI From my desktop to my laptop. the desktop windows XP is about 5 years old and the laptop which has never had an internet provider or been hooked up to internet is almost 3 years old. Someone told me that they are too old to use that router, I cant afford to spend the money if it will not work. Nicki

- Answer I am able to connect Wi-Fi on my 12 year old XP laptop with no problems using this router. I also have another rarely used XP desktop computer about 10 years old and use a wireless USB adapter to connect to Wi-Fi with no problems using this router. So if it works on my 12 year old XP laptop it should work on a 5 year old computer.

QuestionHow to stop Netgear WNR2000v3 from disconnecting periodically from internetI have tried resetting to default setting, updating drivers--it said the firmware was already updated, when I tried to adjust settings in the wireless section of the netgear genie, I wanted to try changing the channel, it gave me an error message "wps changes cannot be applied now, try later"--paraphrasing. I found advice online to set up with the pin # instead of push button, but it is not clear if there is a pin on the back of the router, nothing is marked as pin. Do you have any suggestions? Or if I need to buy a new one, which one do you recommend to use with Comcast?

- Answer This could be a hardware issue. Did you contact netgear support? This router has a lifetime hardware failure warranty. Open a ticket with them and you can get a new product. Bear in mind, you have to pay shipping cost though!

- Answer My room is about 50 feet away from the router and it has a very difficult time providing me with a strong signal. I highly doubt it will reach 250 feet away, unless there are no walls or anything blocking the signal.

- Answer Absolutely, cement is the worst enemy. Recommend looking into POWERLINE adapters or bridging routers.
