A:AnswerThis dropped Friday April 2nd last. Best Buy has been dropped every 16-22 days on weekdays mostly Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays from 11am to 12:30pm. I’d recommend following an alert system like stockdrops discord to get the jump on it. I’ve gotten 3 of them.
A:AnswerI have actually looked into this and I have never seen anyone running the Pro Vega II Duo in a Windows system as that card is an OEM in the Apple MacPro. The Pro Vega II Duo is also $5,600 so it is unlikely anyone will be using that card for gaming, The similar Nvidia product is the Quadro RTX A6000.
A:AnswerIt sure does. You just have to have a great internet connection and be ready to go when Best Buy releases their inventory. Best bet is to have all your information pre-input into their system (via beat buy membership) and then make sure you know all your card info on checkout. Best Buy replaces stock ~every 2 weeks. Their last drop was 2/25/2021 @8am. Hope this help.
A:AnswerThe pascal tech in those cards is still great. The 2000 series cards made it easy to keep my 1080ti and the death of SLI may make it hard for you to want to purchase a newer 3000 series card. Pure rasterisation has been replaced with DLSS algorithms which are fantastic especially in 2K and 4K. I have a 3090 and have pushed many games to their ultimate settings and have barely used 8-10GB of memory bandwidth. You’d be safe with a 3080 to replace those cards and like I said before SLI support will be a thing of the past very soon anyways.
A:AnswerMost reviews I've seen recommend 850W due to the 350W-400W power draw for the card itself. Personally, given the cost of the card, and cost of power supplies, I'd get at one at least that size to ensure that you're not running on the edge and risking aging your graphics card prematurely due to voltage issues. I run a 1500W power supply myself.
A:AnswerMany store employees marked them as lost and stole the cards.
I heard about this happen a few dozen confirmed times online
They are in such high demand, and the 3080s are so rare this was the only option for many desperate for a new card. They resell very highly if unopened.
A:Answersign up and research some sort of "cook group" for these cards, there are many bots capable of copping this card but it is very difficult to, manual is possible too but yoou need the drop info ahead of time
A:AnswerMost modern motherboards put the full-length PCI slots 3 slot-spaces apart. That said, from what I've seen online there is no benefit to SLI'ing this card.
A:AnswerHey man, you are most definitely going to need a beefy power supply. Personally I went with a 1000 watt just so I can take advantage of everything the 3090 has to offer. If it has enough thermal headroom and enough excess power it will run even faster.
A:AnswerI saw a post on reddit which informed about availability and that's how I jumped on it. It was totally by chance. Other way is to use discord servers and subscribe to channels using "nowinstock" and such tools.... no other easy way. EVGA did a fantastic approach by allowing you to sign on and wait. When your time comes, they send you a special link to buy which is valid for 8 hours only for you.
A:AnswerOne on the top and one on the bottom. Total of two. One fan blows hot air our of the card using the vents on the rear while other one throws the remaining hot air to top of the case which is sucked by the rear fan of the case.
