Most modern motherboards put the full-length PCI slots 3 slot-spaces apart. That said, from what I've seen online there is no benefit to SLI'ing this card.

But to answer your question, a RTX3090 FE card takes up 3 slots of space. With one slot spacing between the cards, a dual card setup is going to cover all 7 slot spaces of a full sized motherboard. On most standard motherboards, this is going to equate to a card in the first x16 sized slot and a card in the 3rd x16 slot. (Assuming you have four x16 sized slots with 1 slot spacing in between each of those. Hope that makes sense.
