You can play any game from the Oculus store as well as most VR games in steam. Some VR games in steam will only be compatible with the htc vive while others with the Oculus rift. There are many many games available.

The Rift comes with an Oculus store with a large number of free and paid games. If you get the Rift + Touch bundle you get a number of games for free. Robo Recall is amazing and should be one of the first games you play. The Clime is a free climbing simulator from Crytech. Rez is out, but be wary as it is not good for people who get motion sickness easily. Lone Echo is an amazing Space puzzle game, which is light on the puzzle but heavy on the immersion and emotion. And if you turn on "Unknown Sources" in settings you can play many of the VR games on Steam.

anything in Steam. It has its own store as well. Plus you can get an app called bigscreen or w/e and can send all games to headset. They will not be VR but it is like playing on a huge screen in a theater.

It works with all the games in the Oculus Store and anything that supports SteamVR - ie Project Cars, DIRT Rally, Robo Recall, Star Trek Bridge Crew, etc...

You can fly inside X-plane, the most accurate flight sim available. You pick the airport to take off from and fly anywhere you choose. Land on streets in water with a sea plane or travel into space with Challenger then glide back to Edwards AFB. This is an honest representative of flight physics and awesome 3d visuals. You control everything: weather, time of day, season, date. You can make your own aircraft, cars, boats all in plane maker. You can fly with friends of meet others on Sundays flyins. And Oculus puts you in virtual reality so real you'll reach for switches on the cockpit panel and you will engage them with the hands of Oculus.

There are 100's of games on the Oculus store to purchase for the system. You will get Lucky's Tale for free which is a cute platformer that really shows off the tech well. You can also purchases many more games on Steam that support the Oculus natively and others that support the HTC Vive but will also work on the Oculus.

The Oculus Rift has it's own store featuring custom games that are made for VR, which you can browse through and purchase directly through the headset, or through the Oculus program on your computer. Also if you are a Steam user, a category has recently been added called 'VR', and the Rift is compatible with the vast majority of games located there. A few are HTC Vive exclusive, but most will work for both headsets.
