- Answer I recommend either LIFX Z light strip or Philips Hue light strip Plus.They're both comparable in prices, but Philips requires a starter bridge.

- Answer The manufacturer stipulates indoor use only. I would not recommend installation on or near a hot tub due to a very real danger of electrocution.

- Answer Yes, it would work. There are currently two generation of Hue Hubs - 1st gen, the circular one, and the 2nd gen (which came with 2nd/3rd Gen Colored Hue Starter sets) that is square shaped.

- Answer You do not need to connect it to your home router. Just plug it into a wall outlet and add the light to your hue app. I could be mistaken, but I don't think you are able to connect these via wire to your home router.

- Answer Not unless you have a way to power them. They run on 120v and that isn't in a car as a normal option.

QuestionHow "bendable" are these?I know I can't cut them without a problem but could they curve 90 degrees to go under some kitchen cabinets with a corner?

- Answer It can bend pretty close to 90 degrees, if not exactly. We've used alternate adhering methods (fun tack) to try to give ourselves more options, so you might have better luck with a tight corner if you actually use the adhesive on the strip.

- Answer You would need a hue bridge to make that happen. This allows you to control it from your phone and set up different moods and routines.

- Answer So now I have to address a non answer and a smart aleck answer? Unreal. What neither of you, whom answered previous to this "answer" understand is the entirety of the product is not shown in any photos. There are solar powered light ropes, battery powered light ropes and, of course; 110v corded. Yeah, I get it...they're plugged in. How long is the lead in? Must I utilize a three prong outlet? You see, this is what neither of you get and obviously most do not; Photos should show the entire product, it shouldn't be my job to use Ecosia (my Browser of choice and makes Google seem like the horrible company they are) to look up a product online. That's insanity. And if you're unaware of why it is insanity, then you just might be a millennial. Ugh.

- Answer You do need the Hue hub. They do not work natively with Google Home or Amazon Echo

QuestionI have a galley kitchen. So I have 3 separate sections of cabinets that don’t connect to each other. I do have AC power at all 3 sections. What would you recommend to install Hue light strip under counter lighting? Part numbers and or kits. Thank you

- Answer You would need three separate light strips for each section. The light strips have an adhesive back so you don't need anything else to install them. You do need the bridge, though. If you don't want to use the adhesive or you moved the light strip too many times and it doesn't stick anymore, then Command Strips makes clear, flat chord clips that work perfectly. It's hard to find them in a store, you can get them online easily.
