“Does the unit come on when power is supplied and display speed even if you have not entered in a destination?”

The unit will show and warn you if you are over the MPH rating of the road with a little red box at bottom of display with the road/street speed in it. I did not notice it showing the MPH but it might. Only have had it for a few hours at this point. It's great so far.
