“I just got the rig 500 headset but when i move the microphone up so ppl cant hear me talk it still is working and ppl can hear me ive unpluged it checked all plugs and checked the microphone itself i cant figure it out”

I have the same issue; can't find any answers online. The headset mutes on any other app (Discord, YouTube, etc.) except for Zoom. Does not mute when the mic is up so I have to manually mute/unmute during meetings.

First thing you should check is to make sure you have the correct sleeve on the RIG audio dial. The RIG 500 PRO HX comes pre-installed with the XBox sleeve. If you switch to PS4, you need to switch to the PS4 sleeve that was included in the box. If using with a PC, remove the sleeves all together. One way to test it to make sure the flip-to-mute function is working is to plug it into a PC that has a single headset port, open up Zoom, click "New Meeting", click on the Up Arrow next to Mute, and click "Test Speaker and Microphone". It will test your speaker first, and then your microphone. Try it with mic all the way up and all the way down. If it doesn't hear you with mic up and does hear you with mic down, then the headset is working as intended. Check your XBox settings - it could be related to an audio setting on your console.
