- Answer Once you install the RING Floodlight and security camera, you can turn the floodlight on or off from the app on your phone. However, the light will turn on automatically at night if there is any motion in its field of view. If you do not want a floodlight, then you should buy the camera alone without the floodlight.

- Answer Hey Tony, when the Ring Floodlight Cam is Idle/Standby Mode, it uses less than 2 Watts & with the Floodlight and camera engaged, about 25 Watts & camera with nightvision engaged about 4 - 5 Watts.

- Answer Yes it can be programmed to turn on and off I set mine to turn on at 8 pm and off at 630am It can be programmed to stay on longer after motion is detected. There's no bulbs to worry about burning out.

QuestionI can't get an audible alert on my Galaxy Note3 when the Ring Floodlight Cam motion detector alerts. I get vibrate, but every thing I've tried, no go. Notifications are on, etc. Vibrate won't get my attention when I'm asleep.

- Answer You can purchase a “Ring Chime” unit for audible notifications. They have just a chime unit or one that also works as a WiFi extender.
