• it will work with your existing doorbell. However, if you purchase it and it doesn't work correctly, don't wait to return it. If you have brick on your house, you will have trouble getting it to connect and respond as it is supposed to without a lag. I've been dealing with tech support for months, and it still hasn't worked.
