It can fit if you remove about 2x as much wire insulation that you normally would, fold it back so the tip of the exposed wire touches the base (halving the length) and twist the strands of the wires up into a neat shape that will fit inside the banana plug speaker wire connection points.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The speaker wire is really thin you would have to twist the wire to get it bigger for a 12 or 14
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Doubtful,, the plugs come with two fittings Only one of which is used as a function of wire size. If #16 is smallest size referenced in instruction then, #18 is probably too small.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Might take some work, maybe some glue on the rubber clamp insert and patience. But I'd be real careful as the wire will likely pull out easily from the plug.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is best to refer to it in proper terminology. Gauge is referred to in AWG. AWG 12 to 16 is 12 to 16 gauge. The higher the number the thinner the wire. AWG 18 might be too thin a wire to use this Banana Plug with. That is if indeed it is recommended for use with 12 to 16 gauge, which I did NOT verify.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will depend on how thick the sheathing is on your wire. They come with two sizes of compression fitting grommets that are the key to their tight fit with the wire.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used 18ga wire and was able to get them to work, but I admit it was more difficult than it needed to be. If you don't want to replace the wire, I think the Monster plugs would be easier to use. Still, you can get it to work if you are patient.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I used the same size.
