A:AnswerI'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your RF260BEAESR. I would suggest you follow up with the service technicians who have already assessed the issue with your Refrigerator, either through 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG. It sometimes takes more than one or two attempts to determine the cause of a problem, so consistent communication is important.
Thank you,
Ms. Samsung
A:AnswerHi Dave,
I'm sorry to hear you have ice forming under the freezer compartment. I can't speculate as to what might be causing this, so would suggest you call 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to help.
Thank you,
Ms. Samsung
A:AnswerThanks for the question. The most common causes of the popping sounds are the ice maker dumping ice into the plastic bucket, and air passing through the lines. Since your RF260BEAEWW isn't connected to water, please make sure the ice maker is turned off by pressing the Ice Off button on the control panel to prevent the Refrigerator from attempting to draw water to make ice.

A:AnswerThanks for your question. The device that's located between the crisper drawers in the RF260BEAESR is the water filter. You'll need to twist it to unlock and remove the cartridge when it's time to replace it, as indicated by the Filter Indicator light on the control panel. For more information, please refer to page 13 of the User Manual.

A:AnswerI had similar issues wondering if was working. If the icon is lit its off.The ice maker is somewhat slow. There is a test button the very bottom of it if you want to test it.
A:AnswerIt is stated 10 years. It is actually 5 years. I called Best Buy to confirm, but they will not honor the 10 year warranty. I told them of the problem almost a year ago, but they still haven't fixed the description.

A:AnswerThere a button on the bottom front of the ice maker. You need to press that once and it will make ice. It basically clears the line of air. Also the light for the ice machine should not be on. It needs to be off. If it’s illuminated it means the ice machine is off.
A:AnswerIf you mean does it have an ice/water dispenser on the the outside of the door, the answer is , no. It does have an ice maker in the freezer (that needs to be hooked up to a water source) but no water dispenser on the inside. IMO, simpler is better. Less problems!

A:AnswerI have the same model and same problem. I was able to locate it by using my phone to take a picture of the bottom of the ice maker unit. You can slide the freezer door out part way, just enough to take a pic of the bottom. It's a square button. I held it down for a few seconds and it made a noise.
A:AnswerThe ice maker looks like attached to the ceiling of the freezer so probably it cannot be removed unless you break the plastic. I also do not have water line going to the refrigerator and I use ice tray to make ice. The ice maker is pretty small and does not take too much space of the freezer. SInce it's attached to the top you can still use the full space of the bottom.
