We are hearing the same thing with ours. Kind of disconcerting. May call the Geek Squad. Did not look at review before buying but have noticed online that this is happening with this model.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your frig has this setting, you need to shut off the icon that says "no ice." Otherwise it thinks you have an ice maker. That's what I was told. Who knows. Just a thought.

The most common causes of the popping sounds are the ice maker dumping ice into the plastic bucket, and air passing through the lines. Since your RF260BEAEWW isn't connected to water, please make sure the ice maker is turned off by pressing the Ice Off button on the control panel to prevent the Refrigerator from attempting to draw water to make ice. - Ms. Samsung
