    • Answer Yes but when you want to add something all you do is press down on the “hold to start” button and it unlocks. Add the item then press the button again to lock and restart machine.

  • QuestionI noticed there is a tray for the detergent to go in. Can detergent pods be put in the tray? I currently just throw the detergent pods directly in the basin.

    • Answer NO pods in the tray !!! I don’t use the tray at all. Less to maintain later since I will never have to clean off the detergent buildup or clear clogs. I can’t imagine why you couldn’t use pods directly inserted into the wash bowl, except for the fact the owners manual instructs you not to use pods

  • QuestionDoes anyone have a problem with the washer filling the tub with cold water when I have the setting on hot water? There is no hot water at all, but the hot water hose is hot. Best Buy coming to replace washer, is it worth the aggravation?

Top-load washers and dryers will be more difficult to unload with the added height of a pedestal. Only use pedestals for side-by-side washer and dryer installations.   • QuestionEvery time we wash darks, there is white lint on the clothing. We don't mix whites and darks. We have run the self-clean every 20 or so cycles and it seems to help for the first 3-5 cycles then we start seeing the lint again. HELP!

  • QuestionAre there any washer WITHOUT the water level control? I have found the washer does not get enough water to clean, and the cycle is 70 minutes long. The old washers did a load in 40 minutes or less and the tub filled with water enough to clean .

    • Answer This washer gets a lot of water. I actually had concerns regarding the excessive amount of water provided for a setting. I'm waiting for my next water bill to see if there's a spike in usage. I love this washer with all of its different settings for different needs. The huge basket is a real bonus because it has a setting for bedding.
