A:AnswerThose unit has 4g connectivity as well as Bluetooth and WiFi. Unlike the Bluetooth/wifi only model this one has a speakerphone so you can answer phonecalls and use voice commands.
A:AnswerDepending on the carrier you have this watch can act as it's own mobile device. If you'd like to turn your phone off and run to the store while only wearing the watch you are certainly able to do so. Not sure who your carrier is but for AT&T when you purchase the Gear S2 Classic you will activate the watch as if you were adding a line. This includes picking a new number for the watch so you are able to receive calls on that number or via AT&T's own call forwarding service NumberSync. There are terms and conditions to this program, the details can be provided to you. I believe Sprint and T-Mobile have a service similar to AT&T but I'm not sure about Verizon. Hope this information helps.
A:AnswerIt is an AT&T carrier watch. You would need to call AT&T and ask of they can unlock it for you to use on any network. You'd also need to check with sprint and see what devices they allow on their plans. Not all carriers have smartwatch options.
A:AnswerThese come with e-sims or embedded sims, sims that are "electronic" or preinstalled, however you like to think of it. They can't be removed, or installed yourself. They are suppose to have "profiles" that allow us to change carriers as desired, sortof downloading sims from different carriers if you will. But, YES it will function as a stand alone phone, as long as it it activated with it's own number, so if you leave your real phone at home (ex: Note 4, 5) your S2 3G/4G will switch to use it's own number and call, text etc...now they are pushing numbersync (gimmick) so it will use your note 4/5's number still when out of blue tooth rage, but only for calls and voice mail, data connection will be used for text and email. So using the watch's own number to text when out of blue tooth range will use shared messages hehe trying to get us to use data instead of unlimited messages haha.
