A:AnswerAs of now we don't really know exactly when we will be getting our watch. Both models will be out tomorrow the 18th of November. We will receive an email whenever they start shipping them out. Hopefully by the end of this week or early next week. I preordered mine on November 15th and I may have to wait until the end of the month. Will see
A:AnswerThe frontier is really hot and everyone wants one. You have to keep on trying until you get lucky. I had been trying to get one for a few weeks until I finally got lucky on November 15th. Hopefully they start shipping them out tomorrow.
A:Answerdifference between classic and frontier is style of the case and supplied band. The other big difference is that there is a frontier LTE version which connects to the cellular network and does not need the phone to receive phone calls, etc. You would get a carrier specific model (AT&T and T-Mob have announced). Best buy also sells the frontier non-LTE version, which has wi-fi (not clear to me whether the carrier version of the frontier also has wi-fi). With the carrier version, you would pay a monthly fee for cell service for the watch. Both have the same software platform.
A:Answerthe watch as packaged comes with the charging base. My frontier also came with a smaller strap (not sure if the classic does but I would think so?). This is independent of the pre-order (e.g. the watch is packaged regardless of when you bought it.. of course that would be different if a retailer subsequently packages the watch with another item under a promotion).
A:AnswerYou will need a Sprint-specific version of the LTE model of the Frontier if you wish to use it on their network. The version sold by Best Buy will only work via a bluetooth connection to your existing phone, and you will not be able to make and receive calls (or use apps that require cellular network data) unless you have your phone with you.
Sprint has made no official comment as to whether or not they will be offering a version of this watch for their network. To be clear, though, the version offered by Best Buy will work on most networks provided you're using a supported phone and have your phone with you. The LTE model that can make/receive calls independently of a smartphone is currently offered for sale only for AT&T (and will likely not work for other networks, as the primary LTE bands are different for each).
