difference between classic and frontier is style of the case and supplied band. The other big difference is that there is a frontier LTE version which connects to the cellular network and does not need the phone to receive phone calls, etc. You would get a carrier specific model (AT&T and T-Mob have announced). Best buy also sells the frontier non-LTE version, which has wi-fi (not clear to me whether the carrier version of the frontier also has wi-fi). With the carrier version, you would pay a monthly fee for cell service for the watch. Both have the same software platform.
