• Yes as long as you have a cat connection. The system wouldn’t connect wirelessly to home network

• Answer - - NO if you want text notifications you need to have the monthly fees there are two options I went for the higher fee but it starts at 14 bucks. Do not buy the system unless you can afford 50 cents a day.
