• You need 2 power sources. One is constant for memory and the other is from ignition so the radio turns on and off when the car does. So there is no need to manually turn it off each time you shut your car off. It will turn off automatically and go into standby mode and turn back on when the ignition is turned on. Hope that helps.

• If installed correctly the radio will only power on when the car is powered on. No need to turn radio off when exiting car
