Beautiful Unit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great small unit. I used the flush mount method. Easy to install. I installed it on my commercial truck. It looks great at night.

Love the radio!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to install myself even thou Best Buy offered free installation. It was a snap. You do need alittle knowledge of electrical and how it works in a car, but I’m sure I did a better job than GEEK Squad would have done.

the touch screen is a disappointment, the remote eh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the look, nice sleek and up to date. actual usability, disappointed. I had the previous commander in my car and loved it(used the remote for driving). the following is my opinions. first, the touch sensors suck and are delayed if they get your push at all. I think they tried to get too cutesy with all the options on the screen (some like to see a lot). when driving the only needed is the channel and the artist/song. the display was too busy and at times hard to see. the older version had a simple LCD readout. I prefer to use a remote because you can feel around the primary buttons without looking. the new remote has no bumps to feel around. the new remote also does not allow to set direct(channel) numbers, first you hit direct on the remote then the station number and enter.on the head unit you hit the channel on screen, then input the number wanted and then GO onscreen. I feel that is way too much time looking at the screen and not the road(I have tried the onscreen) especially with the touchscreen issues I have mentioned. the previous version allowed you to set up the head unit to accept direct, scan or preset(mine was set to direct but could scroll on the head unit wheel or up/down remote buttons). this version also does not come with a remote in the main package (if you get the remote for it) you have to download an update to a media device and plug it into the head unit using a micro usb just to use the remote. as of writing this review I admit I am still not totally convinced that I will keep this version in or put a new older version back in. I recommend having it installed but if you are comfortable with basic wiring and car radio wires,go for it. I made no splices into car wiring.

Great little unit
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the fact this model comes with an actual mounting bracket instead of a "stick on" type set up. Only gave 4 stars simply because I wish it had more pre-sets. Otherwise I love its look and love having a satellite radio in my truck.

Commander Touch Satellite Radio Receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a satellite radio to install in my car. I was looking for a touch screen radio just like the one came with my car, and I wanted to keep the hands free for my car. I found out it was going to cost close to $1000.00 to install a radio like the one that came with my car that included satellite radio. When the salesperson informed me of this radio I purchased it and I like it. I especially like the fact that I can rewind if I wanted to hear the song again.

The XM commander radio has a ton of features.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great features, especially 18 presets. Also goes back to the beginning of each song playing when you switch to another favorite. Also will mix songs from your favorites. However, it is small and hard to swipe while the vehicle is moving. Mine is mounted low and should have been mounted higher. A remote you could attach to the steering wheel would also have been helpful. That said, still a great value.

Happy with Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sirus Xm is working out great for me ,no more fumbling with my phone to listen to music and back to no commercials, this small display module fit nicely into my center council and is easy to access, as other reviewers have said its a bit slow changing stations but no big deal so this is a easy way to access satellite music in your car , I choose to hook up thru the 3.5mm jack to my stock stereo I do have a base box and this delivers good sound , I'm still in my free 90 trail but plan on subscribing before it expires , you can always negotiate price with Sirus or look on line for promo codes.

Pretty Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this after reading many reviws stating it was a little sluggish, which turned out to be true. Other than that, this thing is great. My favorite feature is how it records all the channels saved to memory for playback regardless of what one I am listening to. It will also pause play and continue to record for some time if i stop and get fuel or make another quick stop, then stars play when I start my truck again. I just wish this unit was portable.

Q: QuestionI am wanting to install this in my 1949 dodge pick-up that does not have a radio, what will I have to buy to make this work and is the volume control built into the sat ?
Asked by Jeff.
- A:Answer You will need a radio with either FM or preferably an AUX input. The Commander module needs to be plugged into an AUX port or in the FM antenna port. The AUX port will work best and give you the best sound. If you want the connector hidden, an AUX port in the rear of the radio would be great. The volume is only controlled at the radio I believe. There is a setting within the Commander that allows you to adjust the volume to match the other sources on the radio, so if you switch for CD or an FM station to Satellite, the volume won't be to high or too low. If you have to buy a radio anyway, you may want to get one that already includes the Satellite feature. I hope this helps.

Q: QuestionShould the SiriusXM Commander Touch Satellite Radio receiver be turned off when the car is shut off? Or just leave it on, so it will come on when you start the car?
Asked by byrd026.
- A:Answer You need 2 power sources. One is constant for memory and the other is from ignition so the radio turns on and off when the car does. So there is no need to manually turn it off each time you shut your car off. It will turn off automatically and go into standby mode and turn back on when the ignition is turned on. Hope that helps.

Q: QuestionCan this be used outside of a car? Can it connect to a portable radio that has aux and USB ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No, this is an in-vehicle solution only. I would recommend instead the Onyx Plus or Tour radio which both can be taken out of the car and used in the home or outside with additional accessories. Both come with vehicle dock that that have an aux audio output.

Q: QuestionI reset the radio to factory reset and now I can't get any sound from it. Have already had Sirrus XM send a refresh signal. pretty sure I am getting a signal just won't come over my radio.
Asked by RT65.
- A:Answer Your radio was reset to factory settings, not the SiriusXM unit. I would look into first your selected feature in the menu section. Such as "TUNER", "CD", or "AUX." From there select the necessary feature. If this doesn't work I would check MENU, SETTINGS, HD RADIO OR XM. See if any were altered by the reset.
