A:AnswerYou can't unplug them from the power outlet. There's no battery so I'm not sure what you mean by you "charged them up". They can run over wi-fi or wired to your network, but you need power. For your second question, each speaker has a "room name" (I have multiple speakers in some rooms so you can name them anyway you need to, like Den 1, Den 2, etc.). In the app you select the "rooms" you want to control and then pick the music to play from those speakers. You can control each speaker on its own or group them. You can play a different song out of each speaker or play the same song from all of them at the same time. And anything in between. Each has its own volume setting too as well as a master volume. If you're in the kitchen and only want music in the kitchen, not a problem.
A:AnswerSonos doesn’t disclose the RMS rating for all of their speakers, because it doesn’t reflect accurately the sound quality. I have 2 of these and to me they sound as good or better than the discrete Polk bookshelf speakers I have powered by a 110 watt rms per channel receiver.
A:AnswerSonos works off WIFI not Bluetooth - you could Plug your turntable directly into the Sonos speaker like a Sonos Play5 - don't think you can do that with the One. Plug one end of an audio cable into the headphone jack of your turntable, the other into the line-input at the back of your speaker.
A:Answeri don' think so Omar. I did the opposite and bought the corect cord in Sweden (European power plug) at Media Markt. You should look online and buy from overseas.
A:AnswerYes. You can name them for different places such as living room or family room. You can group them together to play the TV or you can play music in a separate room not paired with your TV. It is just a button on your phone, tablet or remote control to pair or group them together.
A:AnswerYou can play MUSIC through the Sonos wireless speaker from an Echo Dot using Alexa, but NOT MSNBC, CNN, ESPN, etc. In other words it won't play "spoken" content, only music, so if you're buying it to pair with an Alexa device just know that it will play music only. I'm selling mine because I wanted a speaker in the bedroom for BOTH music and listening to news and sports stations.... This product won't do that.
A:AnswerIt can work, if on the same wireless network, go to sonoa app and select all the speakers you want to use first, then tell alexa to play your choice through any one on thelist and it will play through all the sonos speakers selected. ie "Alexa play Melody Gardot through "Sonos 1" you will only hear her answer on the echo but the music will play through sonos speakers.
