“trying to connect radio to my stock amplifier, purchased a wiring harness adapter to fit my 01 lexus but no sound, any help on wiring would be appreciated”

Take it to an Actual Audio Shop, I have an 02 and Best Buy doesn't know what they're doing. Also the stock Amp has to be bypassed in order for it to work.

Blue with white needs to be hooked up to turn OEM amp on
