“Wondering if this would work in Europe. European FM radio is a little different from USA radio. In Europe channels are 100 KHz wide so tuning would require even channels.. Has anybody noticed if there a setting where you choose region or country?”

I don't see a setting for this. I think it's locked to a specific region.
