A:AnswerI believe it does, but can't say specifically for your Outlander. I bought the interface connector that worked for the ford steering wheel controls but my truck doesn't have steering volume etc, only cruise control. This unit is awesome. Suggest you talk to local Best Buy sales Rep to make sure you get the right interface connector for your car. Easy to install, plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it if you're handy with basic tools. I did mine by myself in a couple hours. If you have Best Buy install it they can tell you for sure.
Beware, if your outlander has a stock video display system that also controls your temperature and fan settings this unit isn't compatible. Good luck.

Once you use the usb cord to connect your phone it automatically changes screen modes and allows you to do more like apple car play, or android auto. This allows you to access apps like navigation, music, messages, phone notifications, and voice controls. This head unit is basically an am fm radio unless you plug in your phone(for the navigation, music, messages, phone, voice controls), usb thumb drive(for music and video), or use the bt audio. It sounds great and has lots of options.
