it does come with USB in the back and a cord to run to the front. It is a heavy duty cord extension that you can plug any usb cable into such as (apple lightening, micro, mini, etc) Note: BIGGEST DISSAPOINTMENT HAS BEEN XM INTERFACE. If you have SirriusXM stay away. when you use steering wheel controls, it moves per station not per preset. So if you are on preset channel 8 and move to the right it goes to channel 9 not to your next preset.
