I do not think it affects because the radio brings other cables that are attached to the rudder that is my opinion but in the store they install it and if it does not fit they give you your money back

My Expedition does not have steering wheel controls, but I think you should be fine. You can probably search YouTube for a specific example of how your steering wheel controls would work. The voice control works in my Expedition when I have my phone (iPhone) plugged in.
