Same thing happening to me . I had it installed in July 2021. I have just updated the firmware it it was better today for 40 minutes then cut out as I arrived at work. I am considering attempting to replace the USB cable but that may be out of my league.

I'm assuming when you say "disconnecting with your phone" that you mean the Android Auto (or Apple Carplay). This means there's not a good USB connection. You need to use a premium grade USB C cable (or if Apple use the Apple OEM cable). Also when you connect your phone put it in a place that is relatively secure. I find if the phone moves around it can disconnect for a moment. Good luck!
