- Answer Clean your discs before placing them in your machine. Scratches, smudges and fingerprints will cause player to pause or skip during playback.

- Answer I just bought one today. And it works. Doesn't look as good as my cable, but I knew that. So far OK. Decent bargain if you're looking for a backup, or you don't have access to HD A lot of really great stuff is only on DVD, and all the fancy new players won't make it look any better.

QuestionWill this play while on its side with the disk in a vertical orientation? Can it be mounted flat to the wall and still play discs? I want to be able to mount to the wall behind my tv out of sight.

- Answer I would not recommend it. The disc player is sensitive and this is not built for vertical mounting. You may want to purchase that is specifically built for that purpose.

- Answer The error message “no disc found” Either you closed the draw empty (with out a disc in it) or the disc you put in the player is not formatted correctly, damaged or is not compatible with the player. So there is “no readable disc found” (as in the disc is not compatible or is damaged and not rebake by the player).

QuestionWhen playing a DVD can I send the video to an HDMI compatible projector, and ALSO send the audio portion to a stereo receiver using the RCA output at the same time without getting a lag between the two?

- Answer I went ahead and set it up as I described, and it worked for me with only a slight drop in the audio signal. No lag experienced and no degradation of the video.
