Will this play while on its side with the disk in a vertical orientation? Can it be mounted flat to the wall and still play discs? I want to be able to mount to the wall behind my tv out of sight. null

I would not recommend it. The disc player is sensitive and this is not built for vertical mounting. You may want to purchase that is specifically built for that purpose.

I don't think so. It has a "tray" to put the DVD in, not a slot. The DVD sits and spins so it might not stay in position when vertical.
