The paperwork says WiFi, but I was only able to use it as a bluetooth device. The camera will pair with a phone,but only if the camera is within 10ft. I'm not sure why it says it's a wifi camera because I was never able to get it to join my wifi network - as there is no way to input a password. And it didn't recognize my network. Works fine as a bluetooth device though - but on your phone, you have to go to wifi settings.

You need to press the WiFi button to activate it and will automatically turn off after 60 seconds of inactivity. FYI, the WiFi on this device is only for you to connect with your mobile device so you can setup the camera.
