QuestionThe Best Buy specs do not mention sound recording or GPS. I saw in the reviews that it might ave GPS, does it for sure have GPS and sound?

- Answer It has GPS but to see the GPS route you have to use the PC preview software that comes with the camera. Supports Windows and Mac. I used the Mac version and it was easy and clear. I am not a lawyer, but I believe this would stand up in court. It has a very good microphone for sound. You will hear your voice crystal clear. You can turn the microphone off easily.

- Answer Hi there, To hardwire your Thinkware dash cam, the Thinkware hardwiring cable (TWA-SH) must be used. With the proper cable, splicing and cutting will not be necessary. QuestionON its self powered batteries and 16g card, how long will it record?How long will it record on a 16g or 32g memory card? How long will it continuously record on new batteries?

- Answer Hi there, Thinkware dash cams do not have batteries! It uses a Supercapacitor, which is a more reliable alternative against extreme temperatures. A 16 GB card will store approximately 248 minutes while a 32GB card will store double the storage at 496 minutes if you only have the front dash cam installed. The storage time will be halved if you have the rear-view camera installed as well because the rear-view camera footage is stored on the same memory card. However, please note that the dash cam will automatically overwrite the oldest footage when the memory card is full so the dash cam will always be recording. Questionaccording to the manual there is an ssid so it must be broadcasting. I know you have to push button on camera to connect to phone but is there any way someone else can connect to the camera while the Wi-Fi is on? or can only one phone connect at a time?

- Answer The Camera has an SSID associated with the camera. When you setup the camera, you will have an option to change the SSID and password. Just like any other WiFi, if you know the SSID and Password, you will be able to connect to it.

QuestionDoes it record or overlay your actual speed with the video?

- Answer It does stamp information onto the bottom of the video, but vehicle speed is not included (see pictures). To get information on vehicle speed you have to view the footage in the viewer software on a computer.

- Answer Hi there, The rear-view camera records simultaneously with the front camera. The rear-view camera will also have motion detection when the front camera is successfully hardwired and Parking Mode is enabled. QuestionCan you explain the temp shutoff? Mine stopped recording at 2:00 today and it is only 75 degrees out. Got to mall at 1:30 and stayed till 3, so it only got half an hour; that's no good.

- Answer Hi there! May we ask if your dash cam is hardwired? If so, the shut off was likely related to the battery discharge prevention feature, "Off-Voltage" setting. The dash cam monitors the voltage level and if the detected level is below the adjustable threshold, it will prompt shut down to ensure that users will return to a functional car battery. As the dash cam requires more power to record in Motion Detection in Parking Surveillance Mode and the vehicle was parked in a high traffic area, it's likely the Off Voltage setting came in effect. To extend Parking Mode operation, you can either lower the Off Voltage setting and/or the Motion Sensitivity. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have other questions. - Answer I'm afraid it doesn't but it does record audio! If the officer asks you to turn off the car it would be a good idea to get the hard wire kit so that you can still record using the physical record button.

- Answer Hi there, If the dash cam detects motion in parking surveillance mode, it will take 10 seconds prior to the incident and 10 seconds after the incident for a 20 second clip of the motion detection. QuestionAbout 7 months ago someone said that they use 128gb card and it works fine. The company said that it was not tested for over 64. Has it been tested now? I really need larger card since it only uses a fraction of it for parking; very disappointing.

- Answer Yes you can. I would recommend downloading the latest firmware onto the stock card and update to make sure it will recognize the larger card. I purchased the Lexar High-Performance microSDXC 633x 128GB for $34 this past December and it worked without any issues immediately. The unit is very picky about the type of card, I tried other brands I had laying around and it did not recognize those.

Questionparking mode(PM)starts when you turn off the car but can you set a timer for when it will start instead? I know there is a voltage cut off, but I want to run PM for about 8-10 hours. It's not running continuously only motion. will this kill my battery?

- Answer FYI - my car's socket power stays on after engine shuts off. Did not need to hardwire for running in parking mode. But after 3 weeks of doing this, my battery voltage went far below the cut off setting because the Thinkware would NOT shut off at cut off voltage.

QuestionHi there, I had TW F750 which I did hardwired with the professional installer. I noticed that after driving for along drive , when I parked and turn off the car , it says the parking mode is on but after 5 minutes it says shutting down due to low battery?
