QuestionI was talking about the cars battery. wanted to know how much less power is consumed in parking mode vs continuous mode.Because there are no moving parts, im sure it can't be much and no difference on battery drain.So, why not make it record all the time?

- Answer Hi there, Thank you for the clarification. There are several parts to answer this question. Firstly, if you're powering the dash cam with a constant 12V outlet in continuous mode, you risk draining your car battery. By hardwiring the dash cam, the unit can detect when the engine is turning off and will automatically switch from the ACC to the B+ fuse. Technically speaking, the unit requires the same amount of power, however, the source of the power is the main concern. If the dash cam is not accessing the appropriate power source, that is when you risk draining the car battery. Also, if the dash cam records and saves all the files when your vehicle is parked, you will most likely end up with an accumulation of unnecessary files and risk overwriting important footage if something were to occur. Thinkware's parking surveillance mode is more storage efficient and it doesn't drain your vehicle's battery. We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions. QuestionSince the unit is always on but does not record in parking mode until there is motion, how much power is actually being saved from the battery? Why not just record all the time?

- Answer Hi there, The F750 is not battery operated. Instead, the unit functions on a super capacitor and must be connected to a power source at all times to operate. In parking mode, the dash cam is actively recording at all times but will only save footage if motion or impact is detected. QuestionI installed it. I had an available acc and a battery fuse. The only thing I'm concerned with is the ground. There was a screw connected to the gas door release button and hood release butto ear the fuse box. How do I know if this is properly grounded?

- Answer To be sure of the ground, the screw to which you attached the ground wire to must have an electrical "path" into the metal frame of the car. I don't know your make or model, but generally the area you describe would be mounted to a metal framework (the dashboard frame) which, in turn, mounts directly to some part of the car's chassis. If you want to be certain of a good ground (which will complete the circuit) you could always check with a multimeter to ensure that you have a properly grounded circuit.

QuestionI use the Wi-Fi which is great but I wanted to try the desktop viewer and I transferred a file from phone to computer but it would not play in the desktop viewer. Why? does it only work with the sd card?

QuestionIf I have front and back cameras if one detects motion do both record.

- Answer Yes, they both record and are grouped in the app with icons for front and back cameras with the same time stamp. The audio alert when you start the car will tell you how many were detected up to 9. When it detects 10 or more, it will just say "more then 10".

QuestionCan't access WiFi when parking mode is on. I have to start car or turn it on than wait for continuous mode than push WiFi on camera than recording stops and I can connect. Is this normal?

- Answer Thats the way mine camera works too. Its not good for the camera nor card to remove the card while the camera is on.

- Answer Hi there. As the dash cam was designed to be installed behind the rear-view mirror, the mobile app does not have a feature that will rotate the video. - Answer Hi there! The F750 model has a built-in GPS tracker that records footage along with a speed stamp (this feature can be disabled), time/date, and location. - Answer The paperwork says WiFi, but I was only able to use it as a bluetooth device. The camera will pair with a phone,but only if the camera is within 10ft. I'm not sure why it says it's a wifi camera because I was never able to get it to join my wifi network - as there is no way to input a password. And it didn't recognize my network. Works fine as a bluetooth device though - but on your phone, you have to go to wifi settings.

- Answer Hi there. The supercapacitor serves as an auxiliary power. In the event that your dash cam ever becomes disconnected from the battery source (either through the power cable or hardwiring cable), the supercapacitor can supply power to allow the dash cam to quickly save footage on the MicroSD card before shutdown. - Answer This detects changes in the image that it sees to detect motion so it works. There's also settings to adjust the sensitivity for the motion it detects

QuestionThe manual states Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or higher for the mobile viewer. I have android 5.1 but don't know if it is "ice cream sandwich" I am assuming that 5.1 is higher than 4.0 so this should work, correct?
