Best Buy activated the phone in the store, but I had to call trac fone to transfer my number and minutes. A frustrating task that took almost 3 hours. I have seen trac fone advertise that you can keep your number when switching over to them, but I can tell you from my experience, Best Buy will not be doing this for you in the store, you will have to call trac fone yourself.
