I have never used a Arlo Pro base so I am not sure about that, but I currently use it over Wi-Fi to view thousands of movies and it works perfectly. I connected it directly to the router. I can also use it for storage if I need to via the network. Leo

Please try again later.Hi I am not sure i can answer your whole question, but I can answer about remote access I have it hooked up to ravpower FileHub plus and it works amazingly and very seemless when streaming or backing up files from my phone or SD card highly recommend both products but even the drive is great on its own.
