A:AnswerI had blown-in insulation in my ceiling where I installed these speakers. When I cut the hole that was drawn on the ceiling with the included template, the insulation stayed in place for the most part. Very little fell out. Then just push the speaker up into the insulation when you mount it. Worked fine for the two pairs that I've installed.
A:AnswerSince these speakers need a music signal driven by a sufficient amplifier, you would probably not be able to connect them directly to a TV output and if you did it would not be powerful enough to make you happy. You need an intermediate device that takes the sound output signal from the TV (preferably an optical audio out) and then converts it and amplifies it, and provides speaker cable connections for you speakers. The easiest way is a receiver, although it's admittedly clunky, but can offer good power and sound.
A:AnswerIf Atmos uses standard positive and negative speaker wire connections, than yes. I would first confirm the speakers support the ohms (Ω) rating of your Atmos amplifier.
A:AnswerIn my experience, center speakers are more for carrying voice and dialog. Any quality speaker that matches the ohms (Ω) rating should be fine. Stick with similar wattage rating or a little less. Subwoofers should have a sufficient low range for house shaking ability and be tunable. I like onkyo brand for both of these...good quality and fair pricing.
