These speakers need to plug into a receiver if you want to use them for surround sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, these are just speakers with no internal power source or amplifier. They have a positive and negative connection for speaker wire. I ran mine to a receiver that could receive Bluetooth. I was able to connect my phone to the Bluetooth receiver and play through the speakers.
