It works well but I think for the price it should have a USB port to add storage and such.

Excellent direct speed for ethernet connection. The modem with integrated router is a sophisticated piece of equipment and works on all devices with speeds according to what my ISP offers. The price is reasonable.

Great modem/router to create a mesh network with eero range extenders. The 2.5 gbps port allows for fast streaming. Great replacement compare to my previous gaming router.

Just get something else didn’t work well, lots of errors in modem log leading to high ping times and random disconnects.

It was great for the first week or so. Then it stopped staying connected to my network and I had to unplug the power cord and do a hard reset every few hours.

Easy set up. Very fast connection. Been a month and working well so far. Download the app, it's a breeze to use and set up your network.

Buy this instead NETGEAR - Nighthawk AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router This Arris Surfboard broke down after less than two weeks. During my work day the router kicked out. When I went into the app it said to reconnect to the internet. I tried a reboot and disconnecting the lines. No luck. After searching online, there is a known bug with this router and their app the internet connection can kick out often causing you to reboot. When you reboot you actually have to do a factory reset, delete the app, and restart your internet setup from the beginning. That means reconnecting it with your ISP all over again which can take up to an hour. You’d have to do this every time the internet goes down on the router. It’s a known bug and they haven’t fixed it in years. Not worth the money. Go with Netgear, I switched over right after this and it’s been smooth sailing since.

We just don’t know with this router. We have at least 15 to 20 connections drops daily. Email loading is also too slow. Nothing like our prior Arris Router.

I was forced to upgrade to a new modem and router by my ISP, Xfinity, due to the age of the modem. I looked into which makes and models were going to be supported by the ISP, and this model seemed like the best value because of the relatively lower price. It isn't. About every four days or so, since I bought and installed the modem, the connection just dies. The signal drops to a pathetic sub-1 Mbps, which is untenable for any sort of use. Thankfully, power cycling the modem does work to fix the signal issues, but the problem comes back three to four days later like clockwork. In addition, I'm unable to return the modem at this point, since Best Buy only allows 15 day returns for this item. If you have a different ISP than Xfinity, you might get some decent use out of this modem. If you do use Xfinity, get something else, is my recommendation.

I had researched and had an idea of the router I wanted, but your sales rep was of little help - no expertise, simply vague/broad responses to all my questions.

Fast and easy setup for my comcast internet subscription with speed above 800MBPS. Easy to setup.

Worked great for first two years. Now I cant keep a connection. Haven't switched services, haven't even moved it since setup. Figure this thing has a two year service life I recommend returning while still under warranty.

The one start is based on installation problems. One item you need in order to do the install. You need a mobile phone that has a data connection to the internet. Or you need another phone, perhaps a land line, that you can use to call your ISP to get the modem registered with them. There is nothing in the instructions about that. You need to download their Surf Board Center app before you start installing the modem because you have to have the app already in order to do the setup. After powering up the modem and connecting to cable, you can use the Surf app to log in to the modem. But then (I have Comcast) you have to down load the Xfinitiy app BEFORE you have an internet connection. You cannot get the internet connection until your modem is registered. To register the modem, you you need to download the Xfinity app. You cannot do the registration through the web interface, either. There are more obstacles, but I have written enough already. The instructions simply omit to tell you you have to have a good cell phone connection, data connection, to get the installation done.

It's a shame I have to give this one star just because of the poor app functionality, specifically in the area of parental controls. The app is clunky, as others have said, but works. The part of the app that is completely unusable is the parental controls (under "My Experiences" in the surfboard central app). I managed to initially setup a time schedule for devices to shut off during a specific time window. But, they don't work. All devices that are supposed to be disconnected are fully connected all the time. Now, the app wont even let me get in to the parental control functionality. When I select it, I get the eternal spinning circle, and am never allowed in. So, if you're expecting parental control capability, do not buy this gateway.

This did not have the correct connections for a new home with Comcast Xfinity in Boca,,,after asking the Best Buy employee three times if it would work. Not using it plus past the date to return. Was not happy with product choice with the assistance of an employee

Great purchase. Wish the firewall rules were more advanced but great for the average gamer.

I think this router is great hardwired into my pc and I haven't had a single issue - on sale the price point was excellent

Internet been dopping and cutting off so often I work from home and this hasn't been helpful at all. Wanted the best and paid that much for this and never got what i expected
