I bought this to replace my old cable modem to get faster speeds. So glad i got this unit. It replaced my entire home network gear. The built in wireless was so strong i no longer needed my old access point extenders and i have blazing speeds now through out the whole house with just this one device. All i can say is WOW!

We purchased this modem to replace the one we were renting from internet provider. It was easy to install. So far we have had not had issues connecting to the internet just issues with streaming service, like not loading and stopping.

I really really wanted to like this device, and the one issue aside that I had with it, which was a MAJOR one, kept me from being able to. I purchased this to use the faster 2.5GB port and while I was getting faster speeds than the 1GB I subscribe to, the issue I had was that my wife could no longer access her VPN (Cisco AnyConnect) while working from home. I tried to troubleshoot with Arris but they were zero help. I ended up returning and purchasing another one thinking maybe I'd gotten a dud; same result.
Hours of online research and not a single solution that could resolve. If you need to use Cisco AnyConnect (or as best I can tell, ANY VPN) this may not be the device for you. Also tried a Netgear CAX80 and had the same exact issues so it has to be something related to these "all in one" devices. Bummer, as I liked this device, it looked cool, it was a modem and router all in one, but in the end, I couldn't keep it.

I was unsure which mode to get. I have a fairly large 2 story stone house with an addition. After talking to the staff at the store, I bought this one and it does a great job without any kind of mesh system. I moved it upstairs instead of downstairs where the old one used to be and it’s doing well. Set up was easy.

Works great. Had to contact Xfinity to help me set it up. Wasn’t able to do it myself. So far, so good. I’d give it a 5 except I don’t know how it will work long term.

Terribly product! My previous modem, same brand, only reached speeds up to 400 Mbps. Never really had an issue with it; for the exception of app which is really crappy. We decided to upgrade to 1.2Gbps and this was one of the modems on X-finity's website as compatible. Yes, it's compatible but I am getting worse speeds than my previous modem; it will shoot up to 38bps and drop to a constant speed of 180Mbps or less.y stepson's gaming PC has Wi-Fi 6 and he is getting top speeds of 320Mbps. As to the app is concerned, never ever got it working. I let myself get influenced by other "positive" posts but plan to return this useless product. If you're asking yourself how about troubleshooting with X-finity, they themselves see the modem, the serial number, model and when an internet speed test is done, we get same results. When I switched to my old modem, O actually get faster speeds!

A good choice but a few things i have issue with are the fact that it has only one light on it, so there's no way of knowing whats wrong with the internet at whatever given moment. other than that its great but i have weird internet hiccups that im not sure if its a problem of the router or spectrum

I use Cox, I have to call them to get it installed. They don't have this model in their installation list. They helped me over the phone for more than an hour. On the first day it was not working. On the second day, it automatically worked.

I was a bit wary about this modem after reading reviews, but this works great for me.
Activated with Xfinity, and I get full Mbps+ wired and wireless. I am using an outlet that was previously optimized for Internet.
Nice to ditch the rental and to have full admin privileges on my modem/router again.
I ordered it and received the next day, as promised.

This modem / Wi-Fi combination is easy to setup, has multiple SSID channels, and seems compatible with multiple internet service providers because of the DOCSIS 3.1 technology. It has an easy to use web interface and can also be used with a smartphone app. I highly recommend it.

This modem/router combo does well when its working. The pronlem is that it requires weekly rebooting due to lagging performance. Customer service had no fix except rebooting. The user interface well is not that user friendly. The app does not have a lot of functionality to help troubleshoot issues. I have Comcast and have over 500mb in regards to speed well when it is working. This item is expensive and I regret having spent the amount I did at the time. I should have stayed with a Netgear brand that offers more of a user friendly interface.
