For now they are behind my TV which is a nice touch. I think they would be better suited for under cabinet lighting. The color change effects are nice and works great with my Alexa. You can only choose 20 different colors through the Alexa but many more on the Sengled app. Plug and control box are a little larger then I care behind my tv. But Would be fine in other places. Was very easy to set up just like all other Sengled products.

I use it with Samsung SmartThings. No problems at all. LED is very bright Only cons is that it has no separate cool white led, like Philips Hue has.

Recommend if you know where you want to use them . It’s not the longest but it gets the job done over the cheap kind you get at 5 below .

- A:Answer It comes with the LED strip, power supply, and Zigbee radio. The strip has an adhesive backing, and the power cables a pretty long. This kit must be paired to either a Sengled hub, or a home automation hub like Hubitat Elevation or SmartThings.

Q: QuestionCan the strip be cut then connected into shorter segments? This seems to be the elephant in the room that no one has answered. My cabinet is not 87". There are several: 20", 30" 40".

- A:Answer The strips are driven by one power supply in a line. If you were good with a soldering iron you could do this but once you cut the strip you also cut off the connector to put the second strip in line.
