Skimsure for All!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saw this on a Deal of the day offer. My credit card number was fraudulently used in June so I ordered 2 Skimsure cards. I was very skeptical but wanted to give it a try. On my next shopping trip I tested it out. I had it on top of my credit card and tried the tap feature 3 times and my credit card wouldn’t scan. I put the Skimsure card back in my pants pocket and proceeded to tap my credit card and paid for my order. A few days ago it was again as a Deal of the day so I ordered 2 more. I will be testing it monthly when making purchases. It has a lifespan of 3 years and is under warranty for those 3 years. I think everyone should have this!

Skimming Protection
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received item quickly from Best Buy. Easy item to place in a wallet to provide protection from skimmers. Not sure that this works (presuming it does), but will be tested on next vacation. The one thing I do not like is that there are limited "swipes" to this card, which makes it difficult to keep track of and know when you've reached the swipe limit.

Credit Card Protection
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For some reason I was expecting this to be done sort of expandable device that held the credit cards. I was pleasantly surprised to find it the exact size of a credit card and it simply slips into a wallet. I used these for gifts which made the receivers very happy. One more surprise is that users register each card with its own serial number with the company for additional warranty of three years.

Seems to be working
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My cards all seem protected. SkimSure takes up very little space in my rubber band full of credit cards. I'm not looking for the dreaded phone call from the bank asking about unauthorized purchases, so I'll rest easy with my purchase. I bought one for my son as well.

Q: QuestionI saw this product on the news but don't understand - When do you need this product? How does it protect my credit cards?
Asked by Nicole.
- A:Answer Hi Nicole, Thank you for your question. You need the SkimSure card if you have a contactless credit or debit card. Today most Americans have a contactless card without knowing it, you recognize these cards by the WiFi-symbol that is printed on the front or back of your card. As you saw on the news, criminals have now found a way to wirelessly steal your card's details from up to several feet away by using a cell phone or a scanner. The SkimSure Credit Card Protector prevents this from happening when you place the SkimSure Credit Card Protector together with your credit/debit cards eg. in your wallet. If someone tries to scan your credit/debit cards, the SkimSure Credit Card Protector instantly activates and sends out a jamming signal that interferes with the thief's equipment. Just place the SkimSure Credit Card Protector in your wallet and you're protected!

Q: QuestionThe company can give all the information they want. But as consumers, how do we know definitively if this card works? Is there a place or website we can go to so we can test the card?
Asked by CJW69.
- A:Answer Hi. When I received mine I had it on top of my credit card and tried 3 times to tap & pay and my card would not work. I put the Skimsure back in my pocket and with one tap of my credit card, paid for my order. I will be testing like this monthly as the card is supposed to work for 3 years.

Q: QuestionAnother question: Why would this only have a lifespan of 3 years? It's not powered by any type of battery.
Asked by CJW69.
- A:Answer Hello, Thank you for your question. The SkimSure Credit Card Protector is powered by the inductive energy that is transmitted by the thief's device. The SkimSure Credit Card Protector can be powered up a certain amount of times and we therefore guarantee a life span of minimum three years. Let us know if you have any further questions. Have a great day!

Q: QuestionSkimsure is advertised to protect credit cards from skimming. Does it work on Passports and Permanent Residency Card (aka Green Card) that also have embedded RFID Chips?
Asked by kbcalbee.
- A:Answer Yes it does. However there is a very low risk that an unauthorized person would wirelessly steal your passport data. The reason for this is that you need access to your physical passport to read the data on the embedded RFID chip. First you need to read a security code that is only printed on a page in your physical passport, you then need to enter that code into the equipment you are using to read your passport. If you do not have access to this security code the RFID chip will not transmit it’s data. This is more secure compared to a credit card which will always transfer your sensitive card details if it is read by a scanner.

Q: QuestionHow many cards can I fit Into one Skinsure sleeve?
Asked by Bestbuycustomer2021.
- A:Answer Hello Joseph, The SkimSure Credit Card Protector is not a sleeve, it has the shape of a regular credit or debit card. You just place it together with your credit/debit cards and the SkimSure card protects them. When someone tries to steal your card details contactless, SkimSure’s built in jamming device is automatically activated and creates a protective forcefield around your credit and debit cards. This makes it impossible for a thief to obtain your card details. This way, there is no need to place your credit cards in a sleeve. Up to 8 credit/debit cards within 1’’ from the SkimSure card are protected. We have developed the SkimSure Credit Card Protector to be a much more secure and convenient solution than sleeves for your credit cards.

Q: QuestionDoes this protect both VISA and American Express cards?
Asked by Andy59.
- A:Answer As I’ve understood it SkimSure protects all types of credit cards as long as it’s a “tap and go” card (the card with a wifi-symbol on, which most people seem to have today)

Q: QuestionSkimsure must have some type of power source. Is it something like a solar battery that is rechargeable? If it will die, what is the longest time that I can expect it to work before I need to replace it?
Asked by HowLongDoesSkimsureLast.
- A:Answer This question is answered elsewhere, but just to repeat: the card has a chip of its own, like the kind you might have at work enter your building or office. The chip is powered by the scanning device, which charges it while scanning it. After a certain amount of scans, the "battery" component of it is exhausted (just like you can only charge your laptop a certain number of times). Then it needs replacement. There is no way to give an exact number of scans before exhausting the components. It's like asking how long a tire will last.

Q: QuestionCan you clarify what is meant by this device being able to protect credit cards within 1"? For example, if I have 20 credit cards in a wallet and place this device in the middle of them, will this protect all 20 credit cards?
Asked by killians913.
- A:Answer The package says that the card contains a jamming device that sends out a 1” protective shield on each side of the card making it impossible for thieves to scan your card. I would think that having the Skimsure card on the top of your cards would work. For a sure answer, I’d email the company Skimsure.com
