A: Good day, OptimusPrime! Thank you for your question. It is not required to connect a wireless subwoofer since it has built-in subwoofer already but, yes, you can still connect an optional wireless subwoofer to our Sony HTA3000 Soundbar. We recommend checking our Sony SASW5 and SASW3 Wireless Subwoofers compatible with HTA3000 for additional bass sound. The HTA3000 has three front speakers including a center channel, and a powerful built-in dual subwoofer for clear dialogue and authentic surround sound. Using the soundbar alone, you’ll experience authentic 3.1 channel surround sound with S-Force PRO Front Surround and Vertical Surround Engine. Or you can add optional rear speakers to enjoy 360 Spatial Sound Mapping with multiple phantom speakers. Hope this helps and thank you for considering Sony. Regards, Marco
A: Hi SonyBuyer, Thank you for your inquiry! Although it is feasible to mount the HT-A3000 above the TV, doing so may adversely affect sound quality and the overall audio experience. The soundbar is specifically designed to direct sound towards the listener, and positioning it above the TV could interfere with this intended sound projection, leading to a less immersive audio experience. For the best performance, we recommend following the standard practice of mounting the soundbar below the TV. Additional information: The HT-A3000 immerses you in authentic surround sound with a center speaker for clear dialogue and a built-in dual subwoofer for impressive power. With optional rear speakers it supports 360 Spatial Sound Mapping too, so you can lose yourself in your favorite movies, TV shows and music. I hope this helps! Best regards, Romeo

Sound is great. I have it paired with a Sony Bravia X90L TV plus their wireless subwoofer (SA-SW5) and the wireless rear speakers (SA-RS5) which takes everything to another level. I like the acoustic center sync option which lets you use your TV as an additional cener chanel. I got an open box version which looked brand new. I upgraded from the HT-S2000 and i’m not disappointed. It all works flawlessly, is controllable from the TV menus, sounds great, and looks great. Unless you need something bigger for your space (mine is all in my bedroom) then I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I gave it 4 stars because sometimes after startup it takes a while to connect to the TV. I’ve found it I turn it on first THEN the TV, it’s much less tempramental.

Set up and use are very easy. Bought it for my new Sony 85” TV. Sound is great and pairs with tv easy. Will buy cordless speakers for complete setup. Price was great and reviews I read were spot on.

I have been skeptical of Sony sound over the years but have been blow away by my a7000, I can’t say enough about it. So i needed another smaller bar for my office but not as big as the a5000 or a7000, not breaking the bank, and with atmos. Went on a limb with the a3000 and I can say I’m also impressed. By itself it does give the allusion of a wide sound field to make you feel there is more speakers than the bar. The bass is just the right amount for a small room. And have the ability to add on a choice of surrounds and subs. I pair them with the SR5 atmos surrounds which gave the 360 dome effect which can be amazing ( depending on the content). I am truly impressed by Sony with their line of atmos soundbars, I went through a jbl 9.1, Vizio elevate, and my older Vizio 5.1.4 bar before settling with Sony. My only con is it can be expensive. I can say if you have the room go for the A5000 ( 5.1.2 by itself rather than 3.1)
