This screen protector is the 2nd gen version of this tempered glass by invisibleshield for the S8. The 1st gen was discontinued due to the issues it caused with the S8 and plus models with the screen not working or having to press really hard. This 2nd gen is cut and shaped better and has not resulted in a single negative effect on the phones touch response. All parts of the screen respond as if there is nothing there. This comes with a install frame to mount it correctly. It's near impossible to mess up the install process as long as you follow the guidelines and use the install frame correctly, READ THE GUIDE. Take your time and you'll be fine. It is case friendly so no worries there (using a tech21 tactical). Covers all the screen except the top part where the sensors are so they don't interfere with the retina scanner and the other sensors on the phone. I've used this brand on my S5 and it's saved my phone every time. As a bonus this company gives you a lifetime warranty on the glass as long as you register your purchase on the website. Again the 1st gen (google it, such bad press) version of this was a failure, 2nd gen works like a charm...make sure it's this EXACT MODEL!!. Would recommend 100%. No doubt. It's expensive but not as expensive as a new screen, or cut fingers. Protect your investment. (The film's are not worth it, this is).

I bought this on Black Friday weekend. I didn't realize the full price was $50. I paid $20. I wouldn't even pay that much for it. It is honestly worth $5 because it is glass and feels amazing. Here is the problem with this screen protector. It is not durable. AT ALL. I had it on my phone for two weeks. I dropped my phone once. The screen popped off and it formed several hairline cracks. I dropped it again and now it has more hairline cracks and chipped edges, but at least the screen protector didn't pop off that time. Another issue with this screen protector is that it allows debris to get pushed under the screen protector. Dust, metal shavings (from work), I even found a hair underneath of it. The edges of the screen do not fully cover the edges of the S8. This may be a purposeful design to allow cases to fit while using the screen protector, but it certainly allows room for a lot of dirt to get underneath of it and it is very annoying. You have to just deal with it. I guess if you drop your phone and the screen protector pops off you'll have a chance to clean the phone screen LOL. I am giving two stars for 2 reasons. The glass cover feels amazing and it is very transparent until you run into the issues above. Secondly, it does have a life time warranty which is great, because you'll be needing it. The downfall of this warranty? You have to pay for shipping, which is jacked up and over priced, it does not cost $10 to send a parcel weighing a few ounces. If you have to constantly replace this screen protector, you'll be paying an arm and a leg. There are cheaper alternatives out there. Do your research and definitely listen to all the reviews. Good luck with this product-- It's nice but when the flaws come into play, it's a headache. The sad part, this screen lasted two weeks with only two drops.

I tried a dry application plastic screen protector protector on the s8 first but missed the clarity and smoothness of glass. So when it got scuffed enough to replace I switched to this Zagg glass model. On the plus side it fits fine with an Otterbox Defender case, there is about half a mm of clearance, or more between the plastic frame of the Otterbox and the screen protector, so the case shouldn't pop the screen protector loose. This is achieved by having a decent centering jig in the Zagg packaging to align the cover when installing and the fact that the cover by design only covers approximately half the radius of the curved S8 screen edge. The down side to this cover is that like most (all?) glass screen protectors for curved edge displays it only has adhesive around the edges. This means you see the edge of glue, like a ring around a suction cup, and that the glass isn't laminated to the display, which drastically reduces clarity. The cover seems more reflective on its surface than the naked screen or a screen with a good plastic protector. Plus there is a ghosting glare effect which I think is caused by the minuscule gap between the screen protector and the phone screen. The result is that the phone screens sharpness and color detail really goes down unless the brightness is turned up. If Zagg designs a screen protector for the S8 with adhesive across the whole surface to fix the optical problems inherent in this edge adhesive only design, I'd buy it. But as it is now, this protector will be replaced with a plastic one in the near future.

I purchased the ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass Curve for the Samsung Galaxy S8 (Case friendly) shield from Best Buy when I purchased my Galaxy S8 and paid the fee to have it installed it at the store to ensure it was installed correctly and to cover any follow up installs. Within a week, the phone slide off my lap to the carpeted floor (basically 2 feet) and the screen popped off. At the time, while I was very frustrated it popped off the phone, I was pleasantly surprised the screen did not crack. I reinstalled it, but after a similar fall the next day, the screen cracked and was doomed from there on out. I requested a warranty replacement and since I paid to have Best Buy install the first, they covered the 2nd installation for ‘free.’ While that screen lasted a bit longer, have experienced similar issues with the screen staying on – this time it popped off simply sliding 2 inches to the top of a desk from the top of my notebook. Not surprisingly, a few more pop offs and it’s cracked and no longer effective. I’m very disappointed to be sold such an inferior product by Best Buy. In less than 6 months I've spent $68 on what is clearly an inferior product that does not appear to have any ability to actually protect my phone’s screen. ($68 = initial purchase price + Geek Squad install fee + warranty replacement shipping for the first replacement). I spent this money based on recommendations from Best Buy sales personnel. ZAGG portrays their products as “setting the industry standard for screen protection. “If that’s the case, ZAGG has set the bar so low that anyone can surpass their standards.

Worst screen protector I’ve ever used

I’m partial to tempered glass, since I’m paranoid about having to use a screen that is cracked for most of my contract. This one however is literally a piece of junk. It literally only connects to the phone by the very edge of the screen. (Instead of it being a big sticker that adheres to the whole screen.) Fortunately, the only annoyance I experienced was that it connecting that way caused a bubble effect for me. Meaning, it was harder for me to type or access apps. I had to tap A LOT harder than I was used to and was constantly correcting words, because nothing came out correctly. When I returned the item, I commented on my frustration only to have the sales guy tell me worse horror stories he knew of because of the faulty design. Of someone dropping their phone as they were leaving the store, only to have the protector pop off in such a way that the phone itself broke. Poor guy had to buy a new phone because the screen didn’t protect the way it was supposed to. Since the screen protector wasn’t damaged, but the phone was, it wasn’t covered under the protector’s warranty. To me, that is not only faulty design, but also a faulty warranty. Stay as far away from this as possible. The sales guy I spoke to said it would have been better to get the plastic cover. That at least is a big sticker that would adhere properly to the phone, but also not keep you from it, even though it doesn’t offer the greatest protection.

My first experience with Zagg screen protectors dates back to the Samsung Galaxy S3. Back then, I ran into the issue of the protector peeling allowing dust to accumulate underneath. The S8 glass protector has some of the same issues despite proper application. I've had it for less than a month and particles of dirt are getting stuck under the adhesive border. Moreover, there's a chip in the glass screen protector already leading to the development of a larger crack. Yes, I tend to be somewhat rough with my phone, and yes, it's better than having a chipped screen. But the longevity of Zagg products doesn't match their generally high price point. On the bright side, having it on my phone does hide the scratches I have on my actual screen. This screen protector does it's job, but not well enough to justify its price. Less than a month in, I'm ready to take the screen protector off and avoid Zagg products again for a while.

With my Galaxy S6 I had a Zagg screen protector and it was simply fantastic, so when the sales person told us the Zagg Glass Curve was the only option for our new Galaxy S8s, I was quick to agree to the purchase. Unfortunately I am very disappointed. There is only a very thin line of adhesive on the outer edge of the screen protector, most of which doesn't even stick, especially on the curved screen edges, as well as in all 4 corners. The parts that don't fully stick have collected dust and debris from everyday use, which is very visible when the screen is lit due to the nature of the edge screen. It also causes a serious glare under pretty much any direct light. Multiple times I have dropped my phone and the screen protector pops off. I have owned the phone and screen protector about 2 months, and the screen protector cracked within the first month. The up side is the lifetime replacement guarantee, so with minimal effort I can simply get a new one. I can say that my screen hasn't broken in the time I've been using this screen protector, but the Otter Box on my phone may deserve more of the credit. I'm hoping a new replacement will at the very least adhere to the screen better, but all in all, I would suggest searching for something else.

    Screen stopped working

I read the reviews about other people losing some of the sensitivity of their screen after installing this protector, but I wanted the best protection without adding a bulky case and so bought it anyway. I followed the installation instructions exactly and was concerned at first about it staying on the phone, but it did, at least until today. I had it on the phone for a little over 2 months and noticed some decrease in the screen sensitivity, especially at the very top when swiping down, but it was tolerable to get the protection. Today though, my touch screen stopped working. The screen worked, but the touch aspect didn't. I took it into a Best Buy store and the person there suggested I remove the screen protector. She said that she has heard a lot of complaints about these glass screen protectors popping off of the phones, in fact she was surprised mine had stayed on the long, and that the screen sensitivity stops at some point. I took off the protector, reset the phone and it's working perfectly now. To its credit, my screen is scratch free, but what good is that if it doesn't work. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy this screen protector. It's too expensive for it not to work perfectly.
