My first experience with Zagg screen protectors dates back to the Samsung Galaxy S3. Back then, I ran into the issue of the protector peeling allowing dust to accumulate underneath.
The S8 glass protector has some of the same issues despite proper application. I've had it for less than a month and particles of dirt are getting stuck under the adhesive border.
Moreover, there's a chip in the glass screen protector already leading to the development of a larger crack. Yes, I tend to be somewhat rough with my phone, and yes, it's better than having a chipped screen. But the longevity of Zagg products doesn't match their generally high price point.
On the bright side, having it on my phone does hide the scratches I have on my actual screen.
This screen protector does it's job, but not well enough to justify its price. Less than a month in, I'm ready to take the screen protector off and avoid Zagg products again for a while.

Had my S8 for less than a week when it fell off a counter, striking the corner of a glass scale. ZAGG did the job it was intended to do. It cracked and my S8 screen is fine. Awaiting my replacement screen from ZAGG (lifetime warranty)!

So many things wrong with this protector and only owned it for 10 days!
1. Can't survive a 3 ft. drop, multiple cracks and chips already
2. Horrible screen sensitivity, need to press hard or tap multiple times
3. Trapping dusts and debris around the edges already
4. Lifetime warranty that guarantees to keep bleeding you out of your hard earned money with $10-$32 shipping costs every time you make a claim
5. Screen protectors pops off easily and not sticking well at all
I can't caution enough, do not buy this product, I had better protection and experience with a $5, 3-pack, full adhesive screen films!

It sucks, popped off the first night, would be great if it stayed on but because it only sticks on the edges you lose functionality of your screen and it doesn't even stay on.... broke when it fell off...for $50 bucks it's not worth the money.....

Would not recommend this to anyone. The adhesive is only on the rim of the phone, as you can see on the picture. It did not stick very well. When I dropped my phone, the "screen protector" fell off. It was also hard to type or do anything on my phone. I had to take it off and buy another brand from Amazon. Would not recommend this to anyone.

I tried a dry application plastic screen protector protector on the s8 first but missed the clarity and smoothness of glass. So when it got scuffed enough to replace I switched to this Zagg glass model.
On the plus side it fits fine with an Otterbox Defender case, there is about half a mm of clearance, or more between the plastic frame of the Otterbox and the screen protector, so the case shouldn't pop the screen protector loose. This is achieved by having a decent centering jig in the Zagg packaging to align the cover when installing and the fact that the cover by design only covers approximately half the radius of the curved S8 screen edge.
The down side to this cover is that like most (all?) glass screen protectors for curved edge displays it only has adhesive around the edges. This means you see the edge of glue, like a ring around a suction cup, and that the glass isn't laminated to the display, which drastically reduces clarity. The cover seems more reflective on its surface than the naked screen or a screen with a good plastic protector. Plus there is a ghosting glare effect which I think is caused by the minuscule gap between the screen protector and the phone screen. The result is that the phone screens sharpness and color detail really goes down unless the brightness is turned up.
If Zagg designs a screen protector for the S8 with adhesive across the whole surface to fix the optical problems inherent in this edge adhesive only design, I'd buy it. But as it is now, this protector will be replaced with a plastic one in the near future.

I bought this on Black Friday weekend. I didn't realize the full price was $50. I paid $20. I wouldn't even pay that much for it. It is honestly worth $5 because it is glass and feels amazing. Here is the problem with this screen protector. It is not durable. AT ALL. I had it on my phone for two weeks. I dropped my phone once. The screen popped off and it formed several hairline cracks. I dropped it again and now it has more hairline cracks and chipped edges, but at least the screen protector didn't pop off that time.
Another issue with this screen protector is that it allows debris to get pushed under the screen protector. Dust, metal shavings (from work), I even found a hair underneath of it. The edges of the screen do not fully cover the edges of the S8. This may be a purposeful design to allow cases to fit while using the screen protector, but it certainly allows room for a lot of dirt to get underneath of it and it is very annoying. You have to just deal with it. I guess if you drop your phone and the screen protector pops off you'll have a chance to clean the phone screen LOL.
I am giving two stars for 2 reasons. The glass cover feels amazing and it is very transparent until you run into the issues above. Secondly, it does have a life time warranty which is great, because you'll be needing it. The downfall of this warranty? You have to pay for shipping, which is jacked up and over priced, it does not cost $10 to send a parcel weighing a few ounces. If you have to constantly replace this screen protector, you'll be paying an arm and a leg. There are cheaper alternatives out there. Do your research and definitely listen to all the reviews.
Good luck with this product-- It's nice but when the flaws come into play, it's a headache. The sad part, this screen lasted two weeks with only two drops.

Clarity is great, though distorted around the edges (see explanation below). The jig to fit the screen makes application simple. Screen seems to hold up well. Seems to protect against scratches well.
It doesn't seem to want to stay adhered in 4 spots in the corners, though it has no threat of coming off. There is quite a bit of glare, likely due to the curve. Also, there is a mm gap around the entire edge where there is no adhesive, making three distinct lines at the edges of the screen. It kind of ruins the smooth transition of the curved screen. It does cost a lot, but includes lifetime replacements for the life of the phone.

The glass is good for protecting the phone from scratches when it is applied. It was my impression that it remains attached permanently, but on the first drop of the phone from approx 4 ft to ground, the glass popped right off. Fortunately it did not fall on the adhesive side and pick up grass or dirt so I was able to re-attach it, but without the benefit of a template. It is not 100% straight, however.

Died on day 11

Had the screen installed at the store. After 20 hours, the screen popped off, popped off again, and on the 11th day it popped off and shattered across the screen in three spots! The adhesive on it was toast. For a $50 item, I'm very frustrated and disappointed.
I loved the feel of it, the responsiveness of the touch screen feature. I have never damaged a phone screen or protector before, though, so I'm astounded how quickly it fell apart on me!
Not sure if its worth the $10+ to get a new one shipped to me.

Excellent protection for your mobile device! I have trusted ZAGG for years, but they didn't offer curved tempered glass until recently. I had bought something online from another brand, but did not fit properly or adhere correctly to the screen. So I decided to go back with Zagg since I trust the quality and have yet to have a bad experience.

I bought three of these, one for each of our phones, and have had issues. One would not adhere to the phone and I had to exchange it. On another, the phone got dropped onto a carpeted surface and the shield popped off and now will not adhere to the phone. Only one of the originals plus the exchanged one have had no issues. I have used Zagg shields on numerous phones over the years and this is the first time I had an issue. Other than that, they are great.

Many issues with this glass protector for the S8, which I had pro installed by geek squad. It doesn't fit flush on the screen correctly because of the curved edges, allowing the corners to catch on things and rip it off easily. It only sticks to the screen around the outside edge of the protector, and sits a little above screen in the middle of the phone, making you have to push harder for it to recognize your finger. You can see the line of adhesive which is very ugly. And most important, it didn't help when i dropped my phone. I dropped it from about only 2 feet above the ground onto the tile floor and it cracked the protector, and cracked my phone screen. I had a glass protector from zagg on my note 4 and dropped it several times and it always saved my screen, it also fit and worked great, but this one for the S8 is horrible. But the cheaper non glass protector for S8. You're actually even better of without a protector than getting this glass one.

This is by far a top of the line screen protector. Super thin and super clear, you don't even know it's there unless you look at the top edge cutout. It fits perfectly for the S9 (even though the package says it's for the S8) and it is fairly easy to install, as long as you follow the instructions closely. My only slight con is the price, 50 bucks. This brought the total price of my S9 and accessories to just under $800. And be advised that you may have to slightly adjust your screen's push button sensitivity to compensate for the cover, but this is no big deal. I had to only increase sensitivity a notch or 2.

I hate that Zagg hasn't come out with a better idea for phones with a curved screen. I have had it for roughly two weeks and the sides are already lifting. You can tell dusk and such in getting underneath too and it makes it look very ugly. Still protects my phone when I drop it, so I really can't complain that much.

I bought this screen protector when a purchased a Samsung s8 as a Christmas gift for my family member. A Best Buy worker placed the protector on the phone without an issue. It looked nice on the phone, until really thick which I guess is a really good thing. A few days after giving the phone to my family member, I get a call that the protector is broken (phone fell on the floor screen first)! When I go to assess the damage, I’m happy to see that although the protector is broken, the phone screen is unaffected. So the protector definitely did what it was meant to do! It’s under warranty so I’ll get a replacement protector. Better that than a new phone screen!
